dj lessons policy

March 31, 2026

DJ Lessons offered through therealdjapollo.com are designed to provide focused, one-on-one instruction rooted in strong fundamentals, musicality, and hands-on development.

Please review the following policy before submitting a lesson inquiry.

Lesson Focus

Lessons are primarily designed for:

•  beginners

•  developing DJs

•  young students

•  students building a strong foundation

Intermediate students may also be considered depending on goals and fit.

Lessons are not primarily structured for advanced-level coaching at this time.

Who Lessons Are For

Lessons are open to:

•  kids and youth

•  teens

•  adults

•  first time learners

•  bedroom DJs

•  artists preparing for live performance

Young students are especially encouraged, and parents or guardians may accompany students where appropriate.

Private Instruction Format

All lessons are conducted as private one-on-one sessions unless otherwise arranged.

This format is intended to maximize:

•  hands-on turntable time

•  focused instruction

•  student development

•  personalized guidance

Equipment

All required DJ equipment is provided for in-studio lessons unless otherwise specified.

Students are welcome to bring notebooks, headphones, or relevant music references if desired.

Lesson Booking Flow

DJ Lessons follow a reviewed approval process.

Current lesson flow:

1.  Student first views available lesson times on the Wix calendar

2.  Student submits a lesson inquiry form and requests a preferred available slot

3.  Inquiry is reviewed directly

4.  If approved, a confirmation is sent

5.  Studio location and payment instructions are provided

6.  Lesson is considered officially booked once payment is received

Submitting an inquiry does not guarantee booking.

Studio Location

Lessons are conducted in a professional home studio in Daly City, California.

The exact session address is provided only after lesson approval and confirmation.

This is done for privacy, security, and scheduling control.

Punctuality

Students are expected to arrive on time and ready to begin.

Late arrival may reduce lesson time if the session cannot be extended.

Rescheduling / Cancellation

Reasonable notice is appreciated for all schedule changes.

A $15 cancellation fee may apply for:

•  cancellations made within 24 hours

•  missed sessions / no-shows

Repeated no-shows or last-minute cancellations may result in refusal of future booking requests.

Conduct / Studio Respect

Students and accompanying guests are expected to behave respectfully and responsibly in the studio environment.

Any unsafe, disruptive, or inappropriate behavior may result in cancellation or refusal of future sessions.

Because lessons are held in a home studio environment, professionalism, punctuality, and respect are required at all times.

Parent / Guardian Note

For younger students, a parent or guardian may accompany the student during the session if preferred.

This is especially welcome for first-time youth students.

Lesson Approval

Lesson inquiries are reviewed based on:

•  student goals

•  experience level

•  fit

•  schedule availability

•  instructional focus

DJ Apollo reserves the right to accept or decline lesson inquiries at his discretion.
